Reluctantly selling my 41-year-old Honda CX500 custom build. This is a real head-turner and always gets attention wherever it goes.
The bike has been completely customised with a stripped-back bobber style, including:

I have lots of paperwork and receipts from when the bike was customised.
A reconditioned engine was fitted (2024) prior to me parking it up, and it was running at the time. However, due to not being used for around a year (I had to have a knee operation), it is currently non-starting. The bike turns over. I am not mechanically minded, so I haven’t attempted to diagnose the issue. It may be something simple due to standing like the carbs needing to be cleaned / drained, but it will need someone with mechanical knowledge to go through it.
Because of this, I am selling it as a project / non-runner.
This is a great opportunity for someone who knows these bikes or wants a striking custom CX500 to recommission and enjoy. These engines are known for being solid when sorted, and this one has already had a reconditioned unit fitted.
Sad to see it go, but it deserves to be back on the road rather than sitting unused. I’m just not a mechanic, the exact opposite, and this bike needs someone who understands engines…
