I know the differences between the two, but in terms of laws, fees, and everything changing in the world right now... Which would be a better purchase?

I am in the market for a new vehicle and I know I want something that will cut down on petrol costs and pollution but I am not sure which to go with.

I think for most people, the hybrid is the better option.

Hybrids offer a middle-of-the-road approach to being better for the environment. People often forget that land has to be mined for battery supplies and that greatly impacts the environment. No one likes to talk about that though and they just keep screaming about getting rid of petrol.

An EV will save you more money in the long-run but will cost more in the short of it. You will have to get a charger installed in your home and pay more unless you go with a smaller, budget model that doesn't get as many miles.
